About Senior Options
Over 40,000 Franklin County Ohio residents age 60 and older have disabilities and
need help with routine daily tasks like bathing, cooking and cleaning.
Franklin County Senior Options helps seniors remain independent by providing funds
for services that help with daily tasks, such as Meals on Wheels, personal care,
emergency response systems, adult day care, medical transportation, minor home repair
and much more. These valuable services can often delay or prevent the need for nursing
home placement.
Senior Options is funded by the Senior Services Levy, which has been passed by Franklin
County voters every 5 years since 1992. The Senior Services Levy also provides funding
to local non-profit agencies to support programs designed to meet the varied needs
of Franklin County's senior citizens.
Without the Senior Services Levy thousands of seniors would lose their home delivered
meals, medical transportation or adult day services.
